I haven't done one of these in a while. I rarely get time to scrap anymore, but I enjoy it so much when I do. This is an envelope baby book/pregnancy journal that I am making for a dear friend that just found out she is preggers :) Oh how I cherish those memories. I'm hoping she will have many beautiful memories of her own to fill this book with. There are lots of great pull out pages and tags for extra photo's and for lots of journaling too.

I've been working my new full time day job since April and am finally getting into the swing of things enough to get this blog back up and running. I promise I've had time to play in my scrap room. I've just been lazy. I take pics with my cell and it's easier to post them to facebook than signing into my blog. Hmmmm....need to see if there's an app to do it. Anyways....I'm just going to post a bunch of the stuff I've worked on. Maybe I will try to post descriptions later.

Okay, Okay....so I know I've been missing for a very long time. I started a new job and it is full time days. I've worked part time nights forever. It is taking some getting used to. I've done some projects here and there and need to get them posted. I promise to try to get better. I can't help but post this. This cartridge is my bff's but I so NEED it!!! My birthday is coming up. We'll see :)

Monsters are all cut at 4 inches and the title is at 3 inches.
The Mini Monsters cartridge has sooooo many cool features! I haven't even touched the surface!!!

CD Desk Calendar for The Littles Dec 2010

It is tradition every year to make a new desk calendar for one of my BFF's! Once I give her the new one, I bind the old one into a book for her. The pages measure 4.75 in by 4.75 inches and are so much fun to do. I found the little calendars at www.vertex42.com/calendars and they are a perfect size for this project!

These are pages from February 2009 at Wintergreen Resort. This was when we took the kids to the tubing slopes. Of course, no pics of me and John as usual. I really need to start handing over the camera! I used the Winter Wonderland cartridge and my Expression. Of course, it wasn't until after I glued everything down that it dawned on me that a winter tree really shouldn't have GREEN leaves on it! Ugh....can't get it off without messing up the page because I used liquid glue!!!! Otherwise, I really like it.

Theses are birthday cards for work that I finally had the time to sit and do. The butterfly cards is from a print out at Craftsuprint There are so many cool things on there! And the prices at CUP aren't bad either. Once you pay and download them, they are yours to use as much as you want. The other is a House Mouse stamp that is from my momma's collection. I'm gonna make these for the gals at work and fill them with witch finger cookies or some kinda treat. It took a little guessing/playing to figure out how the shoe went together but once you figure it out it is easy.

The little heart cards were a scraplift from JenniferMcguireInk. I made a template to cut on the Cricut and had some Fiskars Zings Sticker Accents to go around the heart. I printed the saying on the computer. Cute and very quick to put together.

The second card is also scraplifted from another blog that I can't remember now. It was a twist with using a cupcake top as the top of an ice cream cone. Can't believer I've never thought of doing that. The cone was super easy to draw.

Of course, all coloring was done with my copic markers.

It feels good to be in my room some again.

This is a cut file that I got from Beanie's Tag You're It Blog. She does absolutely amazing work. The files are beautiful and she is very kind to share them. This paper piecing was a little more detailed for me and I had to play with it a little bit. Those of you that are pro's at these cut files probably could have pieced it in less than half my time. The end product is so cute. Not sure what I'm gonna use it on, but you can be rest assured that it will smell like strawberries (thanks to Cindy at StampingScrapping.com).

Out on a Limb Scrapbooking has the cutest pages ever! I have a friend with preschoolers and had to see if I could come up with something similar. I have been sick for two weeks and this is the first crafting I've done. I'm finally starting to feel a little better...hopefully there will be a lot more to come.

First attempt, badge holder

I saw something similar with just a fancy button on the top part of the badge holder. I thought this would be cute, but I need to tweak the pattern to allow a reinforced area on the bottom for the grommets. I also think I need to iron and sew the side seams before I sew it together to give it a nicer, flatter appearance. I'm a self taught sewer....any advice on things I could do differently/easier would be much appreciated. My hope is to end up with something that I can change out the button and dangles for the holidays etc. I put the button piece on with sticky back velco due to being in the hospital. Orginally I was going to use magnets and decided against it.

These pics where taken of when the pool was getting put in. My friends boys thought the dirt mounds were great to play on. They were soooooo dirty :0) It brings back fond memories of when my boys were that age. A little dirt never hurt anything...they are washable!

The baby bottle was a quickie request from a friend for a baby shower game Pin the bottle on dad. Lol.....made it out of poster board that I had on hand so they would be durable. Would have probably looked nicer in better colors....but that's what I had on hand. I sure do love my cricut for stuff like this!

Play Ball Mini Coaster Album

This is for another girl that I work with. Her son plays baseball and I thought she might enjoy this to put in her purse. It went together very quickly using my Cricut and my Crop-A-Dile. I cut all the circles on my cricut, used modge podge to glue and protect the pages, then hooked it together with the CAD and a binder ring.

I've wanted one of these for a while now but couldn't make myself pay full price. Girls....check your clearance shelves at Walmart !!!! They were marked down to $25 and when I got them to the register.....they were only $10! Yup, I said $10 !!!
I immediately called all my scrap buddies to see if they wanted one. I was giddy going to the register. I love finding a good deal.

We have punched holes in everything we can think of and they all punch like butta !!!!

Baby Shower Invites and party favor bag toppers

I got together with some gals from my hubby's work to make baby shower invites and party bag toppers. We aren't completely finished yet, but I wanted to share what we came up with. The mom to be wants a laui type them and these are the colors she picked. They turned out really cute. The cut file was shared with my by a gal from one of my groups !

Ice Packs and Neck Coolers ....sewing project

My MIL was just here for a visit and needed some new ice packs. They are soooo easy to do and are great hot or cold. You can throw it in a ziploc and keep it in the freezer for cold or microwave it for a couple seconds for a moist heat. I use regular white rice (not instant) for the filler and get it in the big bags so it's cheap to make.

The neck cooler instructions I found on the National MS Society's web page originally but they are also on the Watersorb website. They are pretty easy to do also. The only pain is turning the tube inside out! You can order the watersorb on the internet for about $20 for 2 pounds. Each cooler only takes 1 TBSP total....that's a lot of bags !!! The watersorb is like little, clear crystals that absorb a ton of water and puff up. I thought that once it was soaked in water (only takes about 3-5 min) that it would be drippy. But, to my surprise, their really isn't any leakage once it's out of the water. I'm gonna make my mom some for her MS, the heat is really hard on her and I'm hoping this will help. Gonna send some to my dad for mowing etc. These are really gonna come in handy !

I'm soooooo happy that I have my mojo back !!!! This cold is finally starting to get better and my asthma...yeah well....tolerable :0)

This pregnancy word book journal is about 6.25 by 8.5 inches and pretty thick. I love the way it turned out. I apologize that I can't remember where I got the cut file from right now.

I used DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl and other misc papers. Most of the embellie's are stamped items, glitter, ribbons,etc from my stash.

3-31-2010 The Scrapbook Idea Journal by 2 croppin' cousinz

This is another kit I got from a gal that was going out of business. I've had it since last summer and have looked at it a couple times. I'm glad I took the time to put it together tonight. The book is really sturdy and has nice, thick paper in it. The paper is by Adornit. I had some trouble the clip not being tight enough to hold the flower on. I tried fixing it with my hemostats to no avail. I finally decided to put some glue under it and it worked like a charm. I think this book will get a lot of use ;0)

Definition Mini Album 3-29-2010

This is a little mini album set that I received in a swap. I've had it a couple years I think. I finally decided to put it together the other day and it was a blast. Just about everything I used was included. Of course, I had to add a little ink, some glitter, and some other embellishments. It would make a cute little boy album. It came with a nice idea book of how to put it together. I have no idea who it is made by. There were no labels anywhere.

We R Memory Keepers Family Mini Album 3-30-2010

I'm really trying to use up the stuff in my stash. Believe me, I have a lot of stuff that I've collected over the years. I purchased this album from a store that was going out of business a year or so ago. I've never really done these small books before and it was a lot of fun. Most of the stuff came in the kit, but I did add a few of my own touches and embellishments along the way. Not sure what I'm going to use it for. But, I really like how it turned out. The album measures 4X4" and would be great for keeping in my purse. We'll see. I've actually been playing a little the past couple days and having a blast.

3-21-10 Calendar Organizer Book with K&Co Speciality Papers

I'm always on the lookout for new double sided paper for projects. This paper is so pretty the pictures don't do it justice. I think I'm gonna go grab another pad or two today while I'm out. The texture is amazing. It is made by K&Company and is called Garnish.

These little card organizer, calendar books are kinda time consuming to do. I like to ink the edges etc., so that takes a little while to do. It just gives it such a finished look. I think this is my favorite book so far.

This is going to be our 18th Anniversary. Still not sure what I'm getting my hubby but the card is done at least. I hope he likes it. He is very good to me and we are very blessed. Love him bunches !!!!

The other cards are just what ever cards. Trying to use up some of my stamped images and to actually use some of my cut files. Lol. I'm getting ready to change from a part time evening job to a full time day job. I know my fun time will be more limited to say the least. I'm taking advantage of my free time I have now. This is another birthday card for work. It measures 8.5 in by 5.5 in. I have to have lots of room for people to sign, so this is the size I normally choose. The stamps are House Mouse # QR1057 Eat Dessert First and HMUR1068 Blueberry Delight. I didn't keep a list of the copic colors I used.....sorry about that. I tend to use this stamp a lot right now and really need to order the blueberry scent your cards from StampingScrapping. Soon.....

I am in love with Digi stamps. It's so nice to be able to re-size them and not have any messy stamp clean up. I read that if you heat the image for a couple minutes it heat sets it so it won't bleed. Worked like a charm. I got my images from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop.

Hope you like them. I really need to invest in more copics. They are amazing to use and are so easy to blend.

2009 Christmas Pages (completed 3-3-10)

Okay, so this holiday season was kinda different. I did lots of traveling back and forth to PA to be with my parents. Mom has had some pretty serious health issues and I can't imagine anything other than being there as much as I can to help. Thank God I have the most amazing and supportive husband and boys. They were such a help and blessing to me. Mom..... I love you and am so proud of you. You are my best friend ! I'm so thankful for the bond we have.

So, needless to say, with the traveling I didn't take a lot of photo op's at Christmas time. Head just wasn't in the game this year. But, here are the pic's I did happen to get. I even scrapped some that I wouldn't normally do because of the quality. My boys just wanted cash and a Wii. The Wii has become a family favorite
and has given us lots of laughs.

Birthday Card Organizer, Pocketbook notebook, and card set 3-3-10

I just did this new card organizer book with one of the House Mouse stamps I colored last night. I love how it turned out. I think I may have to look for that stamp! Super cute. But, aren't all the HM stamps !!! I did the little book and card recently also and thought they all looked cute together. May have to send it to a special someone in my life ;0)

Stamped Images colored with Copics 3-3-10

I need to sell some of my Sizzix Alpha's that I don't use anymore, so I can buy more Copic Markers. I only have 17 or 18 so far and I NEED more !!! They are so easy to use and so easy to blend. Sooooo much better than my BIC markers ;0)

These images were received in different swaps over time and were so much fun to color.

I'm thinking of doing a blog candy type thing where you send an envelope of stamped images to put your name in a drawing for a Calendar book. Do you think that would be a good idea? Hmmmmmmm........

Can anyone tell me where any of these images came from? Names, manufacturers, etc....would be really helpful. Oh......I'm just getting more and more addicted to this paper crafting life.

It's so nice to have great friends! It just makes life so much better. Better yet, is having the kind of friend ship where you may not see or talk to each other often, but yet when you do, it seems like you just pick right back up where you left of. You never miss a beat. It is like being in the safety of your family....

Okay....so....both of us are scrappers....can you believe that we didn't take one picture together? Lol. We both had our camera's out too. I guess we were just so caught up in the fun of the day. The guys were out fishing and we were crafting. Sounds perfect to me!

I finally got some COPICS !!!!

Okay....so I finally broke down and ordered some COPICS to see what all the hub bub is about. OMG....I love them !!!! I may need to get a second job to buy them all.

Lol. These are just some quick coloring jobs. I'm limited on colors right now and plan to watch some videos on how to blend them properly. But, all in all.....I really do like them better than my BIC markers.

Any recommendations on sites to check out how to use my COPICS correctly would be much appreciated.

2 new Easel Cards 2-25-10

I think the Easel Card is one of my new favorites to make. It is so easy but so much fun. The birthday card is for my ?????? for her birthday. I've got some other stuff to make to go with it but will post it later on. The other card is for a girl I've known since highschool. She is very dear to my heart and one of the sweetest and most giving people I know. This is a thank you for being such a great friend. She has even done some stuff for my parents that really meant a lot to us.

House Mouse and Friends Challenge # 2

Okay....I'm doing another House Mouse and Friends Challenge. These are fun to do and I'm going to do my best to keep up with them. I figure it forces me to take some time out of my day for me and will help me build up my stash of cards. I'm hoping to get some copic markers soon. That will make such a big difference in my coloring !!!

For this card I used:

Prismacolor pencils-- putty beige, warm grey, dark umber, sea shell pink, metallic silver, jasmine, mediterranean blue, peach beige, blush pink, and light umber.

Stamps: House Mouse Fortune Tellers # HMOR1106 and I'm Fortune-ate # DR1083.

Misc: Martha Stewart lace border punch, Cuttlebug folder # 37-1153 Textile, some brads, and a real fortune.

This is the first time I've made an easel card and it is really cool !!! I can see making lots more of these. I got the instructions from HERE .

Stamps are House Mouse Blueberry Delight HMUR1068 and Eat Dessert First QR1057. I stamped them with Graphite Black Archival Brilliance Ink and colored them with Prismacolor pencils: sand, ginger root, bronze, blush pink, peach beige, chocolate, seashell pink, copenhagen blue. I also used a white gelly roll pen, fine glitter, my Cuttlebug with distressed stripes and textile embossing folders, my Creative Memories Oval Cutter, as well as used some buttons and ribbon from my stash. Oh yeah, and a frequent favorite of mine.... Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.
