Owl Gatefold Card 7-12-09

I actually started this in the morning and then we decided to go to Busch Gardens. I love it there !!! Plus, we got to play with our friends little boys. It brings back so many great memories of when our boys were little. I love spending time with them.

I'm trying to use up some of my scrap paper and get better at my stamping technique. I'm starting to get better images I think. Thanks to lots of blog hopping and everyone sharing their techniques! I bought this little owl a while ago out of the Michael's $1 bin. He is soooo cute. I love the gate fold A2 card look too. I'm trying to get out of my rut of everything being the same. I really need to get in gear and get caught up in my scrapbooking =0) Cards are just so much fun and give immediate gratification though. Lol.....hope you like it.

Feel free to let me know what you think.....
Thanks for looking at my blog.
Hugs,

Stamping Bella Birthday Card 6-30-09

I made this card a while ago and was having a really hard time giving it away. Isn't that silly =0) I'm fairly new to card making and really liked the way this one turned out. So, today is a good friends birthday, and I'm ready to share this card. She is newly addicting to card making and scrapbooking. I hope she likes it. I even added a little bit of frosting scent from Cindy at StampingScrapping.com ......I really love her scents. I need to order more =0)
Let me know what you think of my card. I have the day off from work and hope to get some more stuff done and posted.
Hope you are having a great day and thanks for visiting my blog....

My new addiction.....~~~Mini Skittles ~~~

These things are called by many names: dew drops, rain drops, skittles etc. They are a little piece of acrylic or plastic that can be dyed to match whatever you are working on. They can be used in the centers of flowers, in place of brads, etc. I've been dying clear ones with Adironack Alcohol Inks by Tim Holtz (love his stuff). I found my clear ones at Ben Franklin for $11.99 for a 16 oz bag. They were made by Darice and are called Lustre Gems. Beware....they are very addicting. Every work space in my craft room was covered with the wet colors a couple days ago. I'm still waiting for new Michael's coupons so I can go buy more inks !!!! Back to my school days of mixing colors together and keeping a chart of what they produce.....I've come up with some really pretty colors this way.
